SYNOPSIS
The play opens with the Kittridges saying simultaneously, "I want a divorce!" Both are conceited and rightly so: Colin is a successful humor columnist and Frances an equally successful romance novelist. There is rivalry between them and although they are still in love, each is too stubborn to give an inch. Stage right features an area into which they wander to play other scenes and other times. Here hilarious differences emerge as each remembers a different version of their meeting and the marriage proposal and each pictures a different future. They confide in Sylvia, their mutual agent, and in Bert, a financier who hears Colin's troubles at the club. The Kittridges played matchmaker for this couple whose help only complicates matters. Frances and Colin's attempts to divide their belongings as they continue to live in the same apartment for a six month waiting period are paralleled in a book Frances is writing called 'How to Survive a Marriage'. A funny, refreshing and delightful romantic comedy.

Mud Creek is more than a theater!

SOCIAL GROUP
Mud Creek Players, Inc. is a volunteer organization and has been around more t
han fifty years (see our history)!  We are a community/social group. In fact see our NEW Social Network Website at: http://mudcreekplayers.ning.com
We don’t just put on plays; our members attend social events such as pitch-ins, parties, group outings and game nights.  Our parties include the New Year's Day Pancake Breakfast, Annual Mud Creek Players Dinner, Memorial Day Breakfast, Christmas Party and more. All members are welcome to all social events. Most events are designed for the whole family. One or two "Over 21" parties are usually held each year as well.

AUDITIONS
Click HERE for the latest audition dates.
Anyone is welcome to audition for each of the four shows performed each season. (The season runs from September through May.) However, non-members please take into consideration, Directors will cast from within the membership for any and all roles.  Only if the director cannot cast the show from interested members may he or she seek actors from outside the membership.  While this policy may not always result in the highest quality of production from the Director’s point-of-view, we must remember that we are a community/social group first and foremost and our membership is entitled to first right of refusal on all roles. (see how to join in membership)  Members are also welcomed and encouraged to take part in any production as a crew member.

Without the support of its members for social events, productions (including rehearsals and live performances) and maintenance of the property, Mud Creek would not thrive as it has for over sixty years.
